For the second year in a row, the Lake Lotawana Wooden & Classic Boat Club is sponsoring a wood boat show, “RENDEZVOUS DEUX”, at the Marina Grog & Galley Docks on Saturday, September 29, from 11-4.
The show is open to the public with free admission, although donations to the Lake Lotawana Parks & Rec would be welcome. Tee shirts will be sold along with some show posters.
Highlights of the show will be 23 wood boats ranging in ages from 1930-1995 including Chris Crafts, Hacker Crafts, Centurys, Grand Crafts, four Rivas, a unique Chesapeake Chester Yawl, and a beautiful wood homemade sailboat.
Also on display will be a 1915 Model T Ford C Cab pulling an authentic Ringling Barnum & Bailey circus wagon, two KidsCrafts, a 1947 Chrysler Town & Country Convertible, and two Amphicars which the public will be able to ride.
At 1:00, there will be a short air show by the Lee’s Summit Airport based Kansas City Flight Team.
The Grog and Galley Restaurant will be open for lunch, drinks, and dinner and WHB Sports 810 will be broadcasting live during a portion of the show.
The show is for the entire family and is a charity event for Lake Lotawana Parks & Recreation.
