As a member at Lake Lotawana, you have the right and responsibility to participate in governing the Association by attending meetings, serving on committees, and voting at elections. You are always welcome to attend a Board of Directors’ meeting held the second Tuesday of every month. In March each year, we gather for the Annual Meeting of the Lake Lotawana Association, Inc.
The Annual Meeting this year is called the 2021 Annual Meeting because it covers business from the past year. This year a Director will be elected for a two-year term from each odd-numbered district. If you own property in an odd-numbered district you should have already received your ballot.
The Treasurer will present an overview of our 2021 ending financial position for Lake Lotawana Association, Inc. and preview our finances for 2022. A financial review of the 2021 Lotawana Properties, LLC (Marina 27) will also be presented. There will be committee reports on what was accomplished in 2021 and plans for this year. Members will have the opportunity to express their concerns and opinions. An important part of each Annual Meeting is a show of appreciation for the dedicated volunteers and employees who keep our Association alive and well.
The Lake Lotawana Association is clearly a membership group. It is the members who comprise the Association and who, through their Directors, make decisions for the Association. We operate through the democratic process of elected representation. Get acquainted with your District Director. Let him or her know what you like at Lake Lotawana and share any ideas you may have for improvement. The beginning of every great achievement is an idea. Maybe you have that one idea that the Association needs this year.
