Lake Closed due to High Water

With the early morning rains today the water level is extremely high, flooding the entire lake.  Effective immediately the lake is closed to all activity.  Docks and other structures are underwater, so be extremely cautious of power issues and possible electrocution risk.  We do not recommend any swimming anywhere on the lake today even after the water level subsides.

If you have property that is lost, we ask that you wait until this afternoon to recover and make recovery with no-wake activity.  Please help your neighbors that are not at the lake to ensure their property is not floating.  Many sailboats and jet skis on shore stations are floating.  As you find property, tie it off safely somewhere until the owner can move it.

Another communication will come out late this morning regarding lake status, but we do anticipate the closure will last until at least noon today and after that, no-wake activity until later today.

The office is closed today, so please hold phone calls until Friday the 5th when we’ll be open normal hours (9-4:30). Fireworks may still be possible tonight because the spillway is extremely effective at lowering the water level relatively quickly. We will communicate more about that as we know more.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!
