While we don’t want to be too repetitive, we want to again remind everyone that the lake remains partially frozen. Please remember that there is nowhere on the lake that the ice depth is sufficient to be safe. Please DO NOT walk on the ice and please keep children and pets away from lake.
This is just a friendly reminder that the annual meeting of the Association will be held on March 8th. A precursor to that meeting is the election of the odd-numbered district Directors. You should have received your ballots by now; please make sure to return them by noon the Saturday (March 5th) before the meeting. Unlike the budget meeting, you may NOT turn in your ballots the night of the annual meeting. For those of you who have never run for the director position in your district, please consider doing so. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard that it is difficult to recruit new directors. The Board meets every second Tuesday of the month. Most of the issues that affect how, what, when and why the lake is run the way it is are determined by the Association Board of Directors. Please consider giving your time and talent to this great lake community by letting your neighbors know you are interested in being their district representative.
This article is due early in the week of publication. The weather forecast is for heavy snow on Thursday. Please remember to keep your vehicles off the roadway, as well as sufficiently away from the roadway so that the snow that is thrown from the snowplows does not reach your personal property. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
