By now you’ve received your ballots for the 2020 budget. You can vote them in person at the meeting on November 12th or bring them to the office before noon on November 9th. Ballots received after the office closes on November 9th will have to be voted in person at the meeting to have them count. Please check “Yes” or “No’ and sign each ballot you receive. Every year we get a few ballots that are not signed and those won’t count. This year we are voting on three separate ballots for each property; a ballot for the annual operating budget (blue), a ballot for the Capital Improvement Fund special assessment (pink), and a ballot for the Road Reserve Fund special assessment (purple). We will be presenting the 2020 budget in detail as well as the 2019 financial position at the Annual Budget Meeting at the Church of Jesus Christ Colbern Road Restoration Branch inside Gate 2 at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, November 12th. Printed copies of the budget should be available at the Association office beginning October 31st. We hope to see everyone there.
The days have gotten shorter and Daylight Savings time is coming to an end. It will be dark on our roads when most of us are driving home from work. Hardly a day goes by when we don’t receive a complaint about drivers on the Lake roads. A gentle reminder about safe driving is always appropriate this time of year. Kids playing after dark combined with speeding cars is a recipe for disaster. During the day our crew will be out with the leaf vacuum cleaning the ditches. Please take it slow.
Fall Clean-up Day for Association members is Saturday, November 2nd. Bring your leaves, small brush, and tree limbs (no larger than 4” diameter) to the Martin Property inside Gate 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If this is your first visit in a while, please keep in mind the entrance has been moved to the east.
